In this article, we will walk you through how you can configure an MX record for your domain and set up your FlockMail account.
alert-warning |
FlockMail needs you to verify domain ownership and activate email services by setting MX records & TXT records. Please note: Unverified domains won't be able to receive or send emails. To know more about Domain Verification, click here. |
alert-success | If you are the admin of your domain, follow the steps below. Else, please contact your domain admin to set the MX records. |
- Log in to your Hostinger account (click here) and click on Domains at the top bar and then navigate to DNS Zone.
- Scroll down to MX (Mail Exchanger) and enter the following values to add MX record(omit the quotes):
- Priority: "10"
- Host: "@"
- Points to: "mx1.flockmail.com"
- TTL: "1800"
- Following the same steps as mentioned above, a second MX record needs to be added whose values are:
- Priority: "20"
- Host: "@"
- Points to: "mx2.flockmail.com"
- TTL: "1800"
- Again following the same steps as mentioned above, SPF record needs to be added whose values are (omit the quotes):
- Hostname: "@"
- TXT value: "v=spf1 include:spf.flockmail.com ~all"
- TTL: "1800"
That’s it. You have just pointed your emails to your FlockMail. It could take anywhere between 6-8 hrs for your website to be functional due to DNS Propagation.
